Background
This grant aims to increase the primary care advanced practice registered nursing workforce prepared to practice in rural and medically underserved (R/MU) communities. Funding for the ANEW-WA scholarships is provided through HRSA, a federal governmental agency.
HRSA-Specified Eligibility Requirements include:
- Awardees have US citizenship, a permanent resident visa, or non-citizen national status. You are not eligible for this funding if you are on a student or a temporary visa. Graduate Certificate Program students are also not eligible for this funding.
- Enrolled full-time in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP, Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse Midwifery tracks within the DNP Program at the University of Washington.
- Awardees must be in their clinical rotation series (NCLIN 516 & NCLIN 517 or NCLIN 518 & NCLIN 801).
- You may only participate in the ANEW-WA program for one cohort (Autumn/Winter or Spring/Summer).
- Unfortunately, you are not eligible for the following cohort if previously awarded. This is in hopes that we can offer this experience to as many students as possible before graduation.
