Kari Lombard, DNP, PMHNP-BC, Psychiatric ARNP

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Comprehensive Life Resources, a community mental health agency in Tacoma, WA. I am the primary psychiatric provider at Park Place, a residential treatment facility for adults with serious mental illness, which provides transitional support for people exiting psychiatric inpatient care or experiencing homelessness. I graduated with my DNP from UW, where I worked for UWCNE and focused my capstone on designing a school-based PMHNP role to increase access to child and adolescent mental health care. Before working as a PMHNP, I spent my nursing career in the ICU, in inpatient psychiatric care, and as a school nurse. I love to hike, bike, grow and make food, and be in or on the water. I live in Tacoma with my family, including my cat, Junebug.

I have been overwhelmingly impressed with the ANEW-WA scholars, leadership team, and my fellow committee members. It’s so powerful to see a group of nurses coming together to reimagine healthcare systems with a mind toward increasing equity, access, and wellbeing for our patients as well as ourselves.
